Two years ago my coach introduced meditation into my life. I’ll admit, I was hesitant. Well let’s be real, I thought she was crazy and there was no way I would be doing THAT! When I heard “meditation” I immediately pictured long-haired, pot smoking, flower bearing hippies sitting cross legged in a grassy meadow! Thank goodness I ignored this visual and instead listened and began in the process. I'm certainly not perfect but I've been rather consistent in my practice so I'd like to share three ways in which I enjoy meditating.
1. Guided Meditation
Guided meditation can be a great way for a newbie to begin practicing. Find a recorded meditation, there are plenty of great ones on YouTube, in which someone is guiding you through the session. I find these are extremely helpful when I have a specific goal in mind, such as falling asleep easily, achieving weight loss or for healing.
